Kia’s new Cadenza is expected to have the following specs:
Pricing: Expect pricing to begin in the upper $20K range
Engine: Possibly a base V4 and likely a V6 will be available. The V4 will likely mirror the engine available in the Hyundai Sonata which is a 2.4-liter that gets 198 horsepower. The V6 will be the 3.5-liter Lambda II engine available for the new Kia Sorento SUV at around 275 horsepower.
Transmission: Expect a six-speed automatic.
Fuel Economy: Fuel economy information is not available as yet.
Safety Features: The Upcoming Cars in 2011 Kia Cadenza is expected to offer four-wheel antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control and the full compliment of standard front and side airbags.
Warranty: Kia offers a standard 5-year/60,000 bumper to bumper warranty.

Not long ago, TTAC’s sharp-eyed readers had a surprisingly hard time identifying this car’s interior as a Kia at all. And with a new Schreyer-styled look that’s light years beyond the Amanti’s crude E-class cribbing, the Cadenza’s exterior could fool a few observers as well. With GM positioning Buick as “luxury without paying for status,” a Kia like this seems to be that brand’s chief competition. Who saw that coming
